Everyone has different ideas and opinions. I am a person who wants to be kind and avoid conflict. I thought that people who have strong technical skill is able to become top performers at work. However, it is not true! A successful employee must learn how to deal with others and inspire others.
I believe that we want to perform at work. Sometimes
when you are completing the task and you believe our idea can create value and
help the company. However, other people may not understand your idea. Although
you have a good idea but don’t know how to present it to others, it is a waste!
What can you do? You can use the correct techniques to present your ideas. For
example, try to foster good or bad emotions when you propose your idea to the
boss. Firstly, you render your boss fearful about the current state and joyful
about the new plan that able to create revenue or increase the productivity of
the company. You can gain support from your boss and you are successful.
Moreover, you will feel angry or
stress when your subordinate does not perform well at work. Instead of
criticizing them, try to understand why they are not performing well at work.
For example, some people are not working well because they can’t find the
meaning of work. Imagine your team
members work at the call center to raise university alumni donations for
scholarships. They feel their job is less important because they don't know
what is the purpose of raising fund. One day you approach them and show them
the list of people who benefit from donations and thank you letter from people
who received the donations. At that moment, I am sure they are energized and
know about their purpose of working.
In working life, we may encounter the
situation that a colleague opposes you or does not want to help you. Most of us
first try to blame them or scold them behind and made us feel bad at work. The
first step to overcome this problem is to understand why they oppose you.
Everything happens must have the reason. Try to put yourself into another place
and think about it. What might colleagues oppose you? Maybe your idea is
threatening them or your planning will be made their life difficult so a
colleague opposes your goal. After you discover the reason, try to figure out
the steps to surmount them.
