Work-life Integration

        Working hours have occupied 1/3 of the day. I am an engineer and  I handle a big project. It takes a few years to complete it. It is not easy to become an automation engineer. Automation engineer needs to understand the electrical circuit, mechanical design, software codes and machine vision. The scientist has discovered scientific theory and engineer needs to apply the theory to create a machine that can improve human life.

     I like to become an engineer. Engineer needs the energy to create new applications and solve problems. Engineer needs to keep abreast of current technology and must have a life-long learning spirit. The engineer must have the ability to apply scientific knowledge to solve the issue.  I am worried because I cannot balance my life. Every day I want to finish work as fast as possible so I can go home and relax. I am trying so hard to achieve work-life balance. Therefore, my mind separates work and life completely. After a certain period, I am feeling not happy because every day I am worried to work overtime. Sometimes I face an urgent issue and I must allocate more time to work. It is difficult to achieve work-life balance all the time. My mind is too focus on balance and I am not living at the moment. 

        I start to sit down and reflect on my life. I have surfed the web and find a solution that can improve my life. One day I have learned one phrase. Work-life integration. Instead of separate work and life completely, why can't I include work as part of my life? When I am energized during work, I believe I am energized after work and I can live myself to the fullest. I can enjoy every moment in life. Life is not about balance, it is about doing the right things at the right time. Therefore, try to integrate work in life and enjoy the working life. It is not about how much you have achieved at work, it is about how much you have improved compared to yesterday. 

        Moreover, the secret of finding a dream job is to understand yourself. You can try to discover your strength and personal values. Find a job that can optimize your values that benefit to other people. Dream Job is a job that matches your passion and purpose. Ask yourself what you want and what can you do for the world. Therefore, let us try together to serve the people and make this world a better place!
