        In this capture, it shares a story about how to overcome the pain in life. A guy  names Strecher is a professor. He has two daughters. Suddenly, the younger of his two daughters, Julia is diagnosed with major diseases and passed away. Strecher feels sad and lost his way. He don't have the motivation to move forward in life. After a certain period, he realizes that he couldn't live without a why. Instead of stuck at thinking of Julia, he renews his purpose and began teaching again. His new purpose is to teach every one of his students as they were his daughter.  He started to feel better and reenergize his life, He comes out from the dark and lives with purpose.

        I can feel the pain of loss of loved ones. Some people take a  longer time to recover themselves.  Life is not a bed of roses. We may need to go through a difficult period in some part of life. A Perfect and happy life does not exist forever. We need to learn how to deal with imperfection and accept it. We are human.Accept the broken part in life made you feel better.  

        Every one of us is unique and we have our dreams and purpose in life. We must seek for self-transcending purpose. Don't give up to find a purpose that is  meaningful to you. A dream is always a dream if you do not have a strong purpose. After you have discovered the strong purpose, you must willing to pay for the price and endure the pain. The most challenging period is when you face an obstacle. At that moment, you must have the strong-transcending purpose to push you forward. The self-transcending purpose is independent of money and reputation. It is come out from your inner voice. It is the purpose that is authentic to you. Concentrate on your self-transcending purpose will lead to you greater heights! 

        The purpose is more meaningful if your action is for someone. The power of want will be strengthened if you have a strong belief that your action can benefit  society. Instead of focus how much money you can earn, try to focus on how to provide your value to society.   For example, you want to do it because for your loved one, save people's life and the list goes on. You must always ask yourself why you want to do it. We know that the world is always full of uncertainty. However, you can perceive uncertainty as possibility. It may not get what you want but maybe it opens a new door in our life. The  original dream can be transformed into a better dream or you can discover yourself more in the journey towards a dream! Moreover, try to balance the perception of effort and motivation. If motivation increases, perception of effort decreases and you are willing to put more effort to achieve success. You can overcome all the pain and fear and breakthrough your limit. Persistency and courage are the keys to success. 

 

           I recall a Chinese movie after I read this book chapter. The movie title is Meeting You. This movie is about how a lovely couple overcome all the obstacles and grow together. The Main characters of the movie are Nan Xi and Xia Rui.  Nan xi is a charming and quiet guy. Xia Rui is an active and talkative girl. Nan Xi is handsome and excels in academic. He always passes the exam with flying colors. However, he is diagnosed with social anxiety disorder. He likes to stay alone and avoid mingle with the class student. He is feeling uncomfortable and unable to express himself when he is surrounded by people. I pity him because talented people unable to succeed due to this disorder. I am anticipating how he can manage to overcome fear. His life starts to transform when he meets Xia Rui. Xia Rui is active but she performs badly in academics. Nan Xi has a self-transcending purpose. He wants to stay with Xia Rui forever. A Strong purpose drives Nan Xi to overcome his social fear. He is decided to guide Xia Rui in academics. He stays back late and helps her to solve the academic problem. He helps her to check homework and study late with her. Finally, both of them manage to enter the same local university and have a good career in the future. How he does it? Answer can be found in the movie !        

    
            Every successful life comes with pain and struggling. That is no highway towards success. There is only a small road that full of potholes waiting in front of you. The power to overcome it depends on how strong is the purpose. Life is not easy provided it is not empty. Accept the current version of yourself and just go through it. I wish you can achieve your own successful life!
